Il Public Program dedicato alla mostra “Sunshine State” di Steve MᶜQueen si apre con una conversazione tra Steve MᶜQueen e Cora Gilroy-Ware, storica dell’arte e autrice del saggio “Nella morsa della luce: Sunshine State di Steve MᶜQueen” per il catalogo della mostra.
L’artista discuterà con Cora Gilroy-Ware di alcune delle principali tematiche presenti nella mostra, soffermandosi in particolare sulla genesi e sulla complessa narrazione di Sunshine State (2022), nuova installazione video commissionata e prodotta dall’International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2022 e presentata in anteprima assoluta in Pirelli HangarBicocca.
La conversazione si terrà in inglese. E’ prevista la traduzione simultanea. La partecipazione è gratuita e la prenotazione obbligatoria.

The Public Program devoted to Steve MᶜQueen’s exhibition “Sunshine State” opens with a talk between Steve MᶜQueen and Cora Gilroy-Ware, art historian and author of the essay “In the Dead of the Light: Steve MᶜQueen’s Sunshine State” for the exhibition’s catalogue.
The artist will discuss with Cora Gilroy-Ware some of the main themes of the exhibition, focusing particularly on the genesis and complex narrative of Sunshine State (2022), the new video installation commissioned and produced by the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2022, which is presented in world premiere at Pirelli HangarBicocca.
The conversation will be held in English, simultaneous translation is provided. Admission to the event is free. Places are limited and booking is required
